A Place in My Heart

A slight
familiar pain
when I to know
that you are leaving;
It is weird and funny,
for you don't know me
and you don’t even
know my name.

A slight familiar pain
and I just can’t
believe why it is here,
after so many years,I smile,
and I say to myself,
“is this real?”

The reason must be your smile;
Or, it must be my eyes;
for I just can’t keep it
keep you out of its sight.

It must be your moves,
or the urgency when you walk;
It seems to me that you are late
from chasing one of your rainbows.

It must be your looks
for you are a joy
to any man’s eyes.
But physical beauty

is only in the mind,
something I am afraid of,
something I refuse to enjoy
and I had learned to deny.

It must be the song
that you sing and I loved,
and I always long to hear;
a song, which actually

is one of my prayers;
With that song, unconsciously,
I let you enter into my heart
and there I let you reside;
in a space which soon

shall be lifeless
and void when you are gone.

A slight familiar pain
and somehow in a way,
both of us are leaving;
sadly, to our separate ways;
You to a far away land
whereas I,
  to missing you.
